How to Secure Your Gmail from Hackers or unauthorized access

In world most of them use gmail because of speed,good user interface...etc..but now a days gmail is less secure compare to others because Hackers.google provide solution for that it is called as STEP 2 VERIFICATION

For Step 2 verification
Requirements

• A mobile phone that can receive the verification code via text message or phone call. See how to view the list of supported countries.
Or
• An Android, BlackBerry, or iPhone. These devices use the Google Authenticator mobile app to generate the verification code.
• Note: 2-step verification can't be used for accounts using a SAML single sign-on service (SSO). See SAML SSO Service for Google Apps.

Note: If you're an API developer using ClientLogin authentication, read API Developers before enrolling in 2-step verification.

 


After enable step 2 verification
They send verification code for each login after enter your password if you enter from different ip
  it prevent hacking
Some of them have  follwing doubt
1.if you not having mobile at  time of login mean
          They provide backup code.each backup code valid in one use.you can generate number of backup
           codes as your wise
3.if you loss your mobile means
          They provide backup mobile it can help to access your account
